This seems so trivial in light of what many of you are going through & the nature of prayers I have needed in recent months for my family as well. First, I'd like to thank all of you that have prayed in the past for my father-in-law when his wife passed last Easter, & those that prayed for my Dad when my step-mom passed this Good Friday. My FIL is now remarried & seems very happy, my Daddy is still struggling a lot & is quite lonely, so please keep him in your thoughts.

Now for my (selfish!) request. I have entered a drawing/contest that has come to a close. I did my best to improve my chances, & I think they are pretty good. Still, all in all, it only takes one to win. The top 3 prizes are pretty darn amazing & any of the three would be a total blessing to my little photography business. Of course the grand prize is the one I want the most, & would be the greatest benefit to my business, but any of them would be fantastic. All I ask is that y'all pray for me to win one of them, if it's the Lord's will. I would be so greatful. The prize reveal is on the 8th.

Thanks girls! If you feel weird praying for something like this I totally understand. I just know how powerful SG prayers have been for me & my family so I thought I'd ask. The grand prize is valued at or above $1000 & would provide several things my business is in need of that I can't afford right now.

Your kind words of encouragement & standing with me is a grand prize in itself! Thank you all so much, I really appreciate it. I am nervously anticipating tomorrow. I won't know until tomorrow evening/night. I will be sure to let you know how it goes!

In the mean-time, I appreciate your prayers that my little endeavor continue to grow so that I can ease some of the burden from my husband. There are just so many more needs than there is money to meet them right now & he is very stressed. It's taking a toll on our relationship because he has become touchy & short with all of us & I am sure it's a result of lack of sleep (grave shift) & the stress about various things we need or have to pay for that we just can't afford. Even so, there is only so much short-temperedness I can handle before it starts to rub me the wrong way too. Anyway, I want our family to be peaceful & I want my business to be pleasing to the Lord.

Done rambling! Off to get some work done around the house so I can scrap a bit tonight!

Well I did not win the grand prize but I DID WIN the second runner up!

I won "radlab" which is a photo editing suite of sorts that is worth $150 & can be used on my photos for clients.

Yay! I am thrilled! Thanks for all of the prayers!

I am planning to create a photography page on FB, have been trying to compile more work so it's not "neked". LOL I don't have a blog although I am thinking that might be better than trying to do a website. I can't afford a webpage & most of the free websites are riddled with constant ads. I am still working on building a portfolio so I can advertise a bit - God has blessed me thus far with clients that I have not had to advertise to get. They are all people I did photos for during my kids' first sports season that have since asked me to do family, maternity, or newborn sessions for. I am now trying to budget for some photography classes, equipment, & props. LOL

I am thinking that I really need to go ahead & post somewhere like craigslist or facebook. I have had a couple of inquiries about weddings but without a backup camera I am not really too keen on taking those on yet. I did my FIL's wedding but I knew he wouldn't sue if it wasn't perfect! LOL He & his bride loved the photos so I was happy about it.

I didn't get to this thread til late, but I completely understand and agree with your request. Glad to see that your efforts have been rewarded! Money comes to us in many different ways, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Lord has a plan to use that program in an amazing way that you never imagined! :2468who-do-we-appreciate:
