A very dear “sister in spirit” of mine has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. Additional biopsies indicate that the sentinel lymph node is involved, so she will likely have a mastectomy. I don’t have her permission to share her name, but any prayers and good thoughts would be much appreciated. For now, wisdom and guidance as she chooses a treatment plan, and of course, healing. Thanks!

I'm so sorry to hear this news about your friend, Gayle - adding her to my prayers as she goes through this ordeal in her life - praying for the right decision for the best treatment plan for her. Keep us posted please.

Gayle I'm adding my thoughts AND prayers for your friend - please share with her that my Nana had a breast removed (and opted not to have chemo or radiation) when she was 76 AND she lived to be a healthy 93 years old!

So, so hard when our friends and loved ones get this kind of diagnosis. I'm glad she has YOU to walk with her through this time.

Thinking of you and your friend today Gayle. It's such a long road to travel and I'm so happy she has you to travel it with her. My best friend has started her radiation part of treatment and is having a very hard time with it now. My heart goes out to you both.

My friend will be having her mastectomy on Thursday. She has been told that choosing the treatment plan and treatment team is one of the most stressful parts of the whole process. She is happy with the cancer surgeon, plastic surgeon, oncologist, and the social worker she has lined up.

If you feel called to send up prayers or good thoughts for her surgery and recovery, it would mean a lot.
