Hi there, I was hoping someone might be able to tell me how to create a uniform scalloped edge to an object (say a piece of digital paper)? I have found some dynamic brushes in the boutique but none of them are a plain uniform scallop.
Thanks.

Here's how I do it in PSCS5: I select a round brush and size it so that it matches how large of a scallop I want. Then I adjust the spacing so that they just touch each other. If you hold the shift key down while you make a row, your row will be perfectly straight. You can copy and paste this row and arrange it into a square or rectangle, or put it on along the edge of a shape you've drawn. (If you make a square or rectangle with dotted rows you make with the brush tool, then make sure you fill in the center with the paint bucket.) Then you make sure those layers are merged together and then you can clip paper to it.

Here is a nice set of paper templates with different scallops:

These are small borders but you could enlarge them on a 12 x 12 page:

Here is a set of shapes that might work for you what to do:

Hi JenniferZ
Thank you for your suggestion - I'm working in CS3 and whilst I can select a round brush, resize and then use the shift key to create a straight row, I can't work out how to adjust the spacing. Is that a function of CS3 and if so, how do I do it?
Many thanks.

In the brush palette, you can adjust the spacing, and many other parameters. See the WINDOWS, BRUSHES menu, or press F5. The first parameter (without a checkbox) "Brush Tip Shape," includes spacing.
