Today's article in the ScrapGirls newsletter was about Cindy Dake, the editor. Thank you, thank you, thank you Cindy. Too often I see articles and letters published where a "real" editor hasn't been through it to correct grammar and proper use of words - like there, their and they're, to, two and too, and, of course, as mentioned in the article, you're and your. Don't get me wrong, I'm not an English major, I'm not a journalist, but using the proper word in writing has seemingly become, to me and my daughter at least, something most people don't care about. I can understand it in forums and other casual sites, but I don't understand it in newsletters and business publications. Where is their professional pride? So, again, thank you Cindy. Thank you for upholding the professional image of ScrapGirls' publications.

I appreciate what you do, Cindy. I find myself talking back to newscasters who use (or read) improper grammar. You do a great job.

:2468who-do-we-appreciate: Thank you Cindy for all of your hard work. There is nothing more annoying than reading a newsletter or other publication with misspelled or incorrect words (to, too, two, chose, choose, etc.). Thank you again for the great job that you do. :2468who-do-we-appreciate: :2468who-do-we-appreciate: :2468who-do-we-appreciate:

Posted ImageWell my grammar and spelling is terrible and I never know when to,too use to or how to spell it. Thank goodness for spell check although there is not one on my IPad. Wish I could go back to school and pay attention in the English class.

Awwww... you all are so sweet to affirm my work here at Scrap Girls! (Today's free editorial tip: "Scrap Girls" is always two words - LOL!) Thanks for all the kudos and words of appreciation. I really enjoy what I do for Scrap Girls... and I have found it to be a big blessing in my life these past 2.5 years.

Glad to be here and happy to make your reading experience more enjoyable - or in LenaLotta's case, more educational!

Blessings,
Cindy
