Since there will be a Blue Moon on August 31 this year, and since I use the expression quite often, I wondered if there are things which you only do once in a Blue Moon?

I found myself saying it today (and to myself, no less ;)) when I wondered if it would be okay to eat blueberry buckle (coffeecake) for dinner and use all of my daily caloric allotment on just that. I think it is, since I only do it once in blue moon, right?

LOL Dot! I use that expression all the time too - I know there are lots of things I only do once in a blue moon, like clean/organize my craft room, eat sensibly, exercise the way I should, etc., etc., etc.

BTW, I think it's perfectly fine for you to eat that blueberry buckle! :D

LOL, Theresa, I almost added cleaning the sewing room but didn't have the nerve! Plus, I don't clean it once in a blue moon. Or ever. Hmmmmm.

Blueberry buckle is a much better option than cleaning the sewing room. And it is only once in a blue moon. I'll have to think of what I'll do that evening. We need to do LOs whatever we decide. The "Once in a Blue Moon" challenge. And of course there should be a OIABM sale too. Just sayin'...

I love this, Dot! I say once in a blue moon all the time too - and I like to say I clean my office "once in a blue moon" but it's been many moons ago since "cleaning" and "office" were used in the same sentence!

I'll try and remember this auspicious blue moon date too!

I say that all the time, too, but I've never been exactly sure how often a blue moon comes around.

Eating blueberry buckle is ok for dinner if you invite me over too;) :giggle_bear:
I don't use the phrase too often right now, but I can guarantee I will be using it more now, lol!
The comments are hysterical! ROTFL!

I always check the calendar for when there is a Blue Moon. I have an idea for a layout, and hopefully my mojo will be back so that I can create it.

Happy Blue Moon Month.
