fluffygrammahugs
I am new to digital scrapbooking. I've been using IScrapbook which works well with my MacBook Pro and IPhoto. However I've only used collections purchased from the IScrapbook Store. I am wandering if ScrapGirl Collections will work with the IScrapbook program? fluffygrammahugs
Actually after I ask my question I did a liittle more exploring on different forums and found exactly what I needed to do but thank you for making a reply. I'm so new to digital scrapbooking and to posting to chat rooms that I'm never sure if I'm doing it right.

jenrou
Welcome! I hope you will be back. We are a friendly people. (Same as others, I can't help you with a Mac or your program.) A lot of people on SG use Macs, though.
JeannieH
Hi! I'm new to this forum, but, I also use I Scrapbook. I actually posted a similar question (or thought I did! :-)) But, I'm about to play! Will let you know what I discover.
JeannieH
I played with I Scrapbook and papers/embellishments from Fall Fantasy. Here is the link to my page. For an experiment, not bad! The template was an I Scrapbook Download. "An Experiment"
ladyscrapalot
Very nice! Love the colors! I like how you pick up the color of the ribbon in the cute little girl. Not familiar with I scrapbook.
SandiC.
I'm a mac user/lover but had never heard of iScrapbook until you brought up the question. So, I went and researched it. While it does have some nice uses, the customer service comments where awful! Here's an excerpt from one review, with some very valid points about proprietary supplies. This review is from: iScrapbook (DVD-ROM) I had high hopes for this software, and version 1.0 was okay, but this version is atrocious. Making the situation even worse is that customer support from Chronos Software is so unbelievably bad, I almost wish I could give this product negative stars. Font controls are positively medieval. Rather than being geared for decorative titles, they are more fitting for Microsoft Word for Windows 95. The shapes tool is just as dated. Version 1.0 made it easy to use artwork with the application. With this version, however, Chronos opened its own artwork store online and made it very difficult to use artwork from other sources. You can't import other scrapbook assets (such as other papers, or embellishments) from outside of iScrapbook, which means items you use frequently, like a brad or ribbon, must be dragged and dropped every time you use it. It would be better to save your money and spend $70 for Photoshop Elements. There is much more flexibility with layouts. Most importantly, when most of the digital scrapbook community isn't using iScrapbook's proprietary kits, it seems silly to limit yourself by using this application. Finally, the most frustrating part of using this application is the software support. I have sent emails, posted messages on their corporate message board, all to no avail. I can see there are staff members reading the message board, but they almost never reply to questions. Considering the software manual has very little information, basic inquiries should get some sort of response. A question such as, "How do I use this scrap kit I just purchased?" should merit a quick tutorial somewhere on their site. I buy a lot of software for a lot of different uses and this is, without a doubt, the most disappointing purchase I've made in a very long time. The kits that I found available were pretty nice and I'm sure there is a lot of possibility for this software, but it is somewhat limiting. And I do believe the Adobe software (PSE and PS) are much more standard and give you much more versatility in the long run. I found that once I got past the very beginner level, I wanted much more versatility than even PSE gave me (was using a much older version at the time, newer versions have just about everything you could need). So, my answer to your question...no, never used it but probably great for a casual scrapper. But beware, digi scrapping is addictive and soon you'll be craving more and more and at that point I think you'll outgrow this product. JeannieH
Thanks, Sandi. I do own the app and it is not too bad. As with all apps----depends on what you want. I have to say, however, that my experience with customer support is nothing like the reviews. I have only had a couple of questions, but within 24 hours my questions have been answered.
