What's the best way to color the gray templates/embellishments, particularly if I want it to be a light color, such as yellow? By using the Colorize function, the end result still has a gray cast to it.

Thanks for any ideas!

We had a great tutorial by one of our designers in the newsletter a while back, featuring Yellow colorization of ribbon/bow embellishments; I haven't been able to find it yet. What I do remember is after you click colorize, adjust the blending mode for the color layer. The Lighten group: Lighten, Screen, Color Dodge, Linear Dodge and Lighter Color were the best blending modes for color like Yellow. Push the Saturation and Lightness sliders up, too.

Hope this helps!

That tutorial is a YouTube video. You can find a whole bunch of great video tutorials by searching "ScrapGirls" on YouTube.

Just noticed you asked about Paint Shop Pro... I think you should be able translate some of the techniques. We used to have more PSP users here, but many of them moved to PSE & PS to take advantage of the Styles and Actions available.

And while I'm posting so many times, I thought I'd just wave "hi" from a few hours up I-5. :)

I don't know if these would be any help to you or not, but here are a couple of PSP tutorials:

I've been home, just not on the forums as much because I had those pesky stitches in my hand. It is way easier to type with them out!
I really meant that I am just a few hours up I-5 from Barb who is in Eugene. :)

Waving "hi" up I-5 back at you! I couldn't find the YouTube video by myself even though I spent quite some time looking for it. Thanks for the link!
