Next May my oldest daughter and I are going on a trip to Rome. She won airline tickets and hotel rooms for 2 through her school. So excited! Anyway I have seen several people make mini travel scrapbooks to take with them. They add things along the way and add journalling every day. Then they add photos when they get back home. I think this would be a cool hybird project to try.

I have a couple of questions. Has anyone here done this sort of album? Also I'm looking for suggestions on supplies to use. I've started a wish list just for this project. I've picked out some basic travel embellies, and some map papers. I did see some things for Paris and London but not for Rome per se. I'd love to hear what you might suggest. The albums I've seen have used some very generic papers. I may do that but I know everyone here usually has good ideas.

Hi! What a great idea! Angela Blanchard has done YouTube videos of our SG Hybrid ATCs and while I was watching I checked out a few of her other wonderful ones
This one might be interesting to you -
TRAVEL MINI ALBUM

but if you also click on her name in blue on that page - "molczan352" you will find other album videos that might be helpful.
Good luck!

OOOOO a video! I like the idea of using manila envelopes. The albums I've seen have bound the maps and brochures into the album. You can't really look at them. I have seen so many great albums that my head is spinning with ideas. I'm glad I have time to plan this out before we leave. The Oregon shaped postcard was so cool. I could use the templates the Gayle was talking about and make a page like that.

Does anyone have suggestions as far as papers/embellishments to use?

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Kelly

I'm glad you guys enjoyed the album. I have another video of the post card album where I used a lot of digital products too. As I explain in the video, I use digital elements to keep the album from getting too bulky and put my more dimensional embellishments around the edges. I love hybrid crafts!

Here's a link to that video if you didn't see it. Thanks so much for watching!

Angela's video about the file folder album is really cool, too - perfect size for brochures.
These have really inspired me!
And I own that template of Amanda's - must get it out and play with it!!!

I have to agree, Angela YOU ROCK!!! Loved both of your videos!!! Emailing yourself about your daily activities.... Genius!!! I for one can type faster than I can write! The idea of using cigar boxes to store everything is another idea I love. The possibilities are endless. My brain is swirling with ideas!!!! lol Glad I have some time to figure out how I want to do this!
