New Here From So Calif

I'm a 56 year old mom of four kids and three grandkids. I'm engaged to the love of my life and hope to scrap quite a few family pages.
I tried digi-scrapping about 8 years ago (one page) but then my computer crashed. I now have a new (used) macbook and want to give digital scrapping a try again.
I downloaded a facebook cover template freebie online and bought a motorcycle kit off another site. I created my first project last night (I'm learning Photoshop CS4). I watched a few youtube videos to figure things out.
I was wondering if I can post my first creation here in the gallery or does it need to be made of Scrap Girls products only? Also does it need to be resized and saved a certain way before I can post it?
Anyone else create a facebook cover? I'd love to see them.
Learning my way around the site...think I found my favorite scrapbook site now!
Thanks!
Debi

I haven't done a facebook cover, but I know some other members have.
You are welcome to post it in the gallery - just no linking to other sites that sell digi stuff.

I think if you size your page 600x600 and 72ppi, that is the right size for the gallery here. I just tried to find a thread that explains this, but I can't -- maybe someone will come along shortly and help you better.
We are glad you found us and we look forward to getting to know you and seeing your work!

Scrap Girls ScrapSimple Instructions Handbook (Free ScrapSimple basics eBook)
Scrap Girls A Narrative Collection
The layouts you post in the gallery do not have to be created with Scrap Girls products only, but when you list credits for supplies, please do not post links to other sites. You will want to save your layouts at 72 ppi and they must be no larger than 600 pixels by 600 pixels. You can find more information about uploading layouts here:

Thanks everyone for the nice Welcome! I sure do like it here. And thank you for leading me to Ro's videos. Sounds like it's exactly what I need.
Okay I'll resize my little facebook layout and post it. Hope everyone can give me some advice on how to improve.
Thanks so much!

Hi Debi, I see April deleted the layout for you. For future reference, to delete a layout, just go to the page where the layout is and you'll see an Image Information box to the right of the image. Click on the Mod Options button at the bottom of the box and click Delete Image. HTH

I'll echo others' posts here and say don't hesitate to ask questions. Others out there will be wondering the same thing, and they'll all be glad you asked. Looking forward to seeing you around!
