We were taking Ben to respite this morning, but we had to park about a quarter of a mile away because they were resurfacing the road.

Here's the amazing bit, we got Ben out of the car, and he walked all the way, all I had to do was hold his hand. I am so proud of him.

For those who don't know, Ben has cerebral Palsy, and we were told he would never walk.

YAY! Ben! Wow, Valerie, Ben just never ceases to amaze, does he? I am so glad to hear your wonderful news and very touched reading your post. Thank you so much for sharing - you started my day off with a really nice, warm feeling. I can only imagine how YOU must have felt walking with Ben's hand in yours. YAY!

A 1/4 of a mile!!! That is amazing! How many of us would grouse and complain about having to walk that distance. Way to go, Ben!
