My class reunion is this weekend and I am so excited! It's been many years since I've seen some of my fellow classmates and it's going to be a lot fun.
The reunion lasts for the entire weekend starting with the Homecoming Game tonight where we will all sit together. I doubt if there will be much game watching since we will all be catching up and talking during the entire game.

After the game there is a big party and everyone will be there - tomorrow there is a luncheon for the gils and golf for the guys and then tomorrow night the big formal dinner which is the end of the reunion and I am so looking forward to that too!

I think the best part is seeing how much everyone has changed over the years and seeing if we recognize each other - there will be no name tags since the name of the game is "do you remember me" or "do you know who I am"?

I am just so exited - it's been ten years since our last one!

Just thought I'd share my excitement here with y'all!

Has anyone else had a class reunion lately?

My 40th reunion was in August and it was wonderful! My school has an alumni association called The Over the Hill Gang and it comprises alumni that attended in the "old" building, before the new ultra-modern (window-less) building was built in ca. 1978. There were graduates from the 1940's there, it was so much fun!

Sounds like a fun weekend! I haven't gone to any of my reunions. The first one was 1 month after Lauren was born and I didn't want to take her (and of course, I couldn't leave her home). I think the second one was when dh was away and I didn't want to go by myself. Dh hasn't gone to any of his reunions, either.

I hope you have a great time catching up, Sara!

My 20th H.S. reunion was in 2010 and my husband's 25th was in 2009. We went to both, but his was more fun because he has a smaller class and most everyone keeps in touch to some extent. My class is not very close-knit and while I connect with some people on some levels, we really can't find anything to sustain friendships. I still go to my reunions, though, just out of morbid curiosity! LOL

Have fun, Sara! It sounds like a great, well-planned weekend!!

It was so cool to see that almost everyone recognized everyone! There were a few classmates who had changed and I had to stop and think and within a few minutes I knew who it was - I was surprised to see that everyone recognized me - my mirror tells me I've changed a lot but I guess not so much that I wasn't recognizable and I was flattered by that.

Oh, and the stories we had to tell were so funny! There must have been 350 people there at the Cedars after the football game (which, by the way, we won!) and there were a few people there who were not in our class - older classmen - you know, the ones who wouldn't have any thing to do with us as under classmen when we were in school - funny how things change.

It was just a wonderful weekend and I can't wait for the next reunion!
