Help
I'm so thrilled. Our daughters (10 yo now) surprised me this week by singing a song in harmony!!!! We are a pretty musical family, so they've been singing (or sung too) since, well, FOREVER! We sing at bedtime every night, and they enjoy listening to a wide variety of music. They've also recently started playing in band at school. So at bedtime earlier this week we sang together a song that has 2 parts. It's always a fun one, and DH and I each take a part with one of the girls. DH is away this week, so I paired up with each of the girls on her part for one time through. They asked if they could do it themselves. Who am I to say no to that?? So they proceeded to sing through it in parts so beautifully. I was so excited! They sounded wonderful. Today I had them sing it into my iPhone, so I could send it to my parents and DH. It's absolutely LOVELY!
Thanks for listening to my gushing. This is one of those amazing moments that I'll remember forever. Makes my heart so glad.

How wonderful, Debbie! I've always sung around the house, but unfortunately, my two kids take after their dad - not much in the way of a voice. Not that mine is great, but I try to make of it what I can.

What a wonderful feeling that must have been. We sing alot at home, but usually silly songs sung badly on purpose, not that we are good singers to start with. It is so much fun.

Your story is so sweet, Debbie and I think that singing together brings a family so much closer together - I'd love to hear them sing - how about a YouTube video or at least sound so we can hear those sweet voices? I'd love to hear it!

Ahh Debbie I am sure it was "Music to your ears" so sweet to hear them together I am sure. I bet they will share there talent with others in the future, I love hearing about it!!!

Such a sweet story. When my brother and I were very young we used to sing in rounds together. It was totally unlike my brother to do that and he would have been embarrassed to have his friends at the time know that, but it is one of my sweetest memories of him. Your girls are making memories too.
