In the past month, just from the increase in taiko practices (8 hours a week instead of 2) and taking occasional walks, I've lost about 3 pounds!
And that is despite the increase in junk food (cookies, cake, chips, candy, diet soda) that I've been consuming lately.
My skinny jeans are fitting looser now, so I might have to go shopping again soon!

I have been having major neck and shoulder pain as well as that injury to my achilles tendon in May. I went to an orthopedic specialist and he's got me going to physical therapy. Yesterday was my first session and it actually helped my neck lots! They didn't have time to do my achilles too (I was there 2.25 hours) so they'll start treatment on that this coming week. I am just limping around doing what I can, that is why the water aerobics has been really helpful. The real bummer is that I had been on a major anti-inflammatory for 4 months and with that and stress I've developed and ulcer so I can't take anti-inflammatories for now and Tylenol isn't really helping as much as I'd like. He did start me on an acid blocker that has been helping. Sigh, at least I can do something to help it all get better. My neck and back did really feel much better after the pt. I was really worried it was going to be awfully painful so that was a very pleasant surprise.
I haven't figured out what exercise I'll do today, but probably floor exercises or something where I'm not on my feet so much.
