It's been bugging me to have all my supplies stashed away in bins, yet I hate when they're out, taking up space and contributing to the mess. So I made some visible storage in the corner by my work table. I mounted a couple cafe rods on opposing walls (after trimming them down to size). So that they'd stick out from the wall far enough, I used the brackets from the larger rod for the small rod, and bought even larger ones for the large rod to hang on. I also got the idea to stick a roll of paper towels on the one. the rods lift off, making it easy to add ribbons. Gosh, some of this stuff is from my wedding 15 yrs ago . . . but still using it!

And then I bought 2 mesh spice racks on Amazon.com, and mounted them to hold my inkers (what do you call those little things!), punches, etc. I try to minimize the amount of tangible "stuff" i purchase for crafting but these things I use over and over again. It's really nice having everything within reach! The cabinet in the corner was a garbage find this summer - about broke my back lugging it and heaving it to my car but it fits perfectly!

Just thought I'd share in case anyone's looking for some quick, easy storage ideas. Now I gotta go make something - LOL!!

Hmmm, since Sandy just came through this area, can I use her as an excuse for why my craft room is such a disaster area? LOL

Ha. This has been a 2-year work in progress. It was a crummy paneled room with horrible green carpeting that smelled of cat urine. Little by little!

You've done a fantastic job on your room Dianne. Makes me so envious. Don't you just love creating in a nice organized space? Kay

Oh wow I love that idea of the paper towel holders!! I was going to get into making hairbows for my grand daughter and that's the perfect solution for all the ribbons!!
