I Need Some Wacom Advice Please

He is very talented and quite the artist - his drawings are very detailed and I don't know where to start with the Wacom.
Anyone have any suggestions for the best tablet I should buy?

There are bigger tablets than mine and ones with more features and bells and whistles, but this one works great for me. I use it to navigate, paint/draw in various programs and arrange LOs.
I hope you find one that fits your family's needs. (But, truly, if you get one -- hide that mouse and force yourself to acclimate to your pen.)
