I just couldn't wait to ask this question because all morning I've been singing Christmas Carols! They're playing them on the radio, tv and they are already stuck in my head! I have so many favorites! This morning however, I was singing, singing, singing (you wouldn't want to hear me - :)/> :)/>) and suddenly this song, Scarlet Ribbons popped into my head and it brought me to tears! I haven't thought of or sung Scarlet Ribbons since my children were little and I used to sing it to them......so, for the moment, even though it isn't really a Christmas Carol, this is my today's favorite! :)/>

I peeked in to say goodnight
And then I heard my child in prayer
Send for me some scarlet ribbons
Scarlet ribbons for my hair.

All the stores were locked and shuttered
All the streets were dark and bare
In our town no scarlet ribbons
No scarlet ribbons for her hair.

Through the night my heart was aching
Just before the dawn was breaking.

I peeked in and on her bed
In gay profusion laying there
Scarlet ribbons, scarlet ribbons
Pretty scarlet ribbons for her hair.

If I live to be a hundred
I will never know from where
Came those lovely scarlet ribbons
Scarlet ribbons for her hair...

Oh Sara that song makes me cry but it is pretty AND Theresa I love the Little Drummer Boy!

My absolute favorite is Feliz Navidad, we always open our Christmas Show with it AND when it's on --- my radio is cranked AND I'm singing at the top of my voice!

Oh man, I had to go to youtube and listen --- GO Jose!

Feliz Navidad
Feliz Navidad
Feliz Navidad
Prospero Año y Felicidad.

I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas
I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas
I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas
From the bottom of my heart.

"Please Come home for Christmas" a classics-2010 song- by the Eagles, I think. Kind of rock-bluesy, it gets me everytime I hear it.It's on Utube.

I also like Scarlet ribbons and Feliz Navidad! Of course I go around pretending to sing Little Drummer boy because Hudson is a drummer.:lol:/>

THAT is one of my favs too, Sherry and yes, I sing it at the top of my lungs too! Again, you don't want to hear ME sing! :) Made me think of a story: A few years ago when Sara and Chris were about 10 years old, Rich and I were delivering Christmas Presents to the Needy Children (for the PD) and we decided that it was time Chris and Sara saw what it was like to deliver these to so many very, very needy families so we took them with us. We walked into a home where the parents and children were Hispanic and spoke NO English at all - of course I said Merry Christmas before I thought about it and almost immediately, Sara realized they spoke no English and she said, with much joy that she knew how, Feliz Navidad! The Mom broke into a smile and it was wonderful! Mission accomplished! Just had to share! :)

The one my husband is playing on the piano right now. :) O Holy Night.
Silent Night is a close second.
I love most of them though!

I have too many favorites!!

My current favorite is this funky a Capella arrangement of Carol of the Bells by Pentatonix. It's so unique, and gets stuck in my head.

Other favorites are: O Holy Night, White Christmas, Breath of Heaven and Grown-Up Christmas List (both by Amy Grant), We Need a Little Christmas... I could go on and on

My favorite has been "Mary Did You Know"

[Originally written by Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene]

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will calm the storm with His hand?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little Baby you kissed the face of God?

Mary did you know.. Ooo Ooo Ooo

The blind will see.
The deaf will hear.
The dead will live again.
The lame will leap.
The dumb will speak
The praises of The Lamb.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
The sleeping Child you're holding is the Great, I Am.

What a cool video, Theresa! I love it!

My favorite holiday song is Holly Jolly Christmas by Burl Ives. Don't know why, just love it!

Um...them all?! :) I especially love O Holy Night and singing all the verses to the traditional hymns. I love most of what I hear on the radio as well, especially the older classics. And I am in heaven last year and this FINALLY with my own piano to play whatever I want whenever I want, lol - now if I could just play WELL, and be coordinated enough to play and sing at the same time...;)

I love Old City Bar by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. No matter how many times I hear it, I always get weepy at the end! :)
