I really enjoyed Cindy Dake's article: How To Create An Interactive Digital Bulletin Board For Your Desktop in today's NL. I used to use the sticky notes gadget that you mentioned quite a bit, then for some reason I stopped using it. I love how you created your desktop and made it interactive with the gadget. I'll have to give it a try... Thanks for a great article Cindy! :2468who-do-we-appreciate:

Just finished reading the article and I LOVE it!!!! It is something I needed right now. I had an aw-ha moment wondering why I didn't think of it before. My desktop is cluttered with sticky notes! The idea was to keep me organized and remember things, but they are just too cluttered and disorganized and not pretty looking at all. I have always LOVED the look of a beautiful desktop but haven't made one in a awhile, never once thought of creating one to organize my notes. I am so doing this today, forget Christmas shopping!!!! :) Thanks Cindy!

Oh, yea! Thanks for the comments! You guys have made my day! I've really enjoyed using the digital board plus sticky notes since the summer and have tweaked it a little along the way. It has made a huge difference in how I do better at actually filing things away and not just leaving them on my desktop. Plus, I really just like the way it looks. :-)

Becca had a similar post on her blog in November: http://breakintoarun...t-life-desktop/
While she didn't have the sticky notes, it would be an easy add-on. Her board has a different look and you might like to go for something like that b/c it provides a weekly calendar (when you have practices/lessons that are always at the same time), plus nice blocks for where your docs/folders can land.

Be sure and let me know when you post your digital boards! I can't wait to see them!

Cindy

I loved this idea so much that I went ahead and made one. When I went to add the sticky note gadget, the Windows website said it doesn't host desktop gadgets anymore. :(

Kelly, I have Windows 7 and under Accessories there are Sticky Notes which could be used. They are re-sizable and to change the color, right click on the sticky note and choose the color you want. HTH
