Hey all,

Wife is enjoying the crafts so we ended up making (2) more of those Birthday Calander boards from my previous post for my daughter as a Chinese Gift Exchange for Christmas.

Well today, we decided to continue and I made a layout in photoshop, printed on glossy photo paper, glued to a ceramic tile and going to cover with a coat of modge podge.

See what you think, it turned out so well we are going to gift everyone (around 20 or so) for christmas, there so cheap and look good I think they all will appreciate them.

Summary of Materials were something like :

6" x 6" Ceramic Tile (.47 cents)
Photo Paper (.50 cents a sheet)
Ink for Printer (Not sure but you know the drill on that one)
Photoshop Design time (WAAAAYYY Underpaid... :)/>

Total cost is like $2.50 cents or something like that I would suspect.

Merry Christmas to you all and have fun Scrappin!
Still early enough for anyone that wants to bang something like this out for Christmas. (P.S. PM me if you want the file i'm sure I can make it accesible if you would rather not design from scratch)

These are wonderful, Vince! You should post a finished photo (like the last or next to last one) in the gallery so other members can leave some love on them.

Fabulous, Vince! These are just wonderful and I love that you and your wife made these together! I love the quote - what a wonderful gift these will be!

Seeing your wonderful tiles reminded me of something I did several years ago and I just have to tell you my faux pas story! My son-in-law's father died and I wanted to do something for him in memory of his Dad, so I searched online for something I thought would be appropriate and that he would like. He has a garden he loves so I thought that a tile for outside with "in memory of and his Dad's name" would be just the perfect thing. I ordered the tile in a little bit of haste because I wanted it to get to him quickly. And of course you know when you order something personalized and have it shipped to someone else there is a "bill to" and a "ship to" box to fill out plus the personalization box. Ordering all done and I knew the tile would take a couple weeks to be made and to be shipped to him.

My daughter called me when the package arrived at their house and she was laughing hysterically and could barely tell me what was so funny - after she calmed down a bit she told me that I had had the tile made "in memory of her husband and not in memory of his Dad"! I was pretty red-faced and felt awful since the wounds of losing his Dad were still so fresh and Deb and I weren't sure he would find the humor in it that she and I did. Fortunately, he did and I had the tile re-made with the correct name on it and all was well!

Your projects are so creative! I love that you've taken your scrapping above and beyond scrapbook pages! Fabulous project! I love what you've done!
