Falling off the wagon again here - My father-in-law had a mini-stroke (TIA) this morning, and we didn't hear about it until about 2pm - My husband called right about the time I was heading upstairs to put on workout clothes. So we headed down to the hospital (50 minutes away) after school and just got home and put the kids to bed a few minutes ago. Oh yeah, and DS has the Pinewood Derby at 1pm tomorrow, and guess what he and DH planned to do tonight? Yep, finish the car. They rushed around...more to rush around on it in the am.

Luckily F-i-L is doing fine - as long as his final test is ok in the am, he'll be dismissed and heading home around noon.

37 minutes on the treadmill today doing walk/run intervals. I lost track a bit toward the end but I think I ended up running 9 minutes total so I'm building my endurance back up. Yay! I hate that I've essentially had to start all over again with my 5K training but knowing that I did it once is definitely helping me do it again. I'm anxious to conquer running the full 5K distance again so I can move forward toward running a full 10K which is my fitness goal for 2013 :)

Not sure if this counts. Been outside playing with the kids in the snow. Playing snowballs, building a snowman (boy snow can be heavy). We were out for over an hour.

We had great fun, so I don't care if it doesn't count.

Cheri-Sorry to hear about your father in law! Hope he is cleared to go home!

Ang-Good for you!

Valerie-I'm willing to count it! Lots of bending over, throwing and lifting!

My knees are a bit sore today. I upped the elevation on the treadmill yesterday. Not sure what I'm going to do today...getting a slow start!

Cheri - sorry to hear that, my dad had one a few years ago and it's pretty scary. Luckily they figured out he had high BP which probably helped in causing that (and all the migraines he had been having) put him on medicine and has been doing alot better the last few year

Saturday done...dripping from a little Kempo. I hate to admit it..but I really like P90X I have felt better this week then I have for a long time

Saturday done, despite the girls best efforts to keep me from working out. Long story short, 30 minutes on the treadmill done...hard so I could work off some frustration!

Yikes! I'm really falling behind! Not with the workouts, but with the posting here! I did 2 mile walks on Thursday and Friday, and we're just now headed out for a nice river walk. Don't post that one until I get back and claim credit...we may get distracted by the frozen yogurt shop!

No distractions! We got that walk in and thoroughly enjoyed it. A new place...and I DID bring my camera! We liked it so much we'll be going back tomorrow. Got some good photos, a couple I used in today's color challenge.

Jillian's Killer Abs level 1 done for Saturday. My father-in-law's final test was fine and he's back at home on an aspirin a day and I hope my mother-in-law is smoking outside now so he's not exposed, as that's a risk factor for stroke too. We are very thankful this was "just" a TIA and that he is ok - but a big wakeup call to keep health in check and be careful going forward.

I went back to the newly found (for me) river trail and walked the entire loop, 1.5 miles. It was another gorgeous day and I admit that I had to stop every once in a while to take some photos. I got one special one...a little musk rat that was carrying a load of dried grass to his nest under a sheet of bank ice. I can walk this trail every day and never get bored. It's just perfect! Hoping to get some of the photos scrapped this week.

Forgot to update for Saturday. I did a 5K distance (3.1 miles) on the treadmill yesterday. Ran a total of 11 or 12 minutes of my total time. Anxious to keep building up my endurance and get back up to running the full distance.
