I should get double or triple credit for today. I gritted out that mile and a half walk even though it was just 36 degrees and there was a nice breeze. I was encouraged to walk as fast as I could! Lots of waterfowl on the river, mallards, coots and golden eyes. Still have not captured (on film) that wily barred owl.

Cheri, put the star in for yesterday (Saturday). The weather is supposed to warm up here, so I hope to get over to the lake on Tuesday to walk around it. Don't know how far it is, but the last time I walked it, I was there about an hour.

Congratulations on your new treadmill, Conda! I'll start thinking about names!

Chart is updated!

I got about 25 minutes bike riding done today. We rode our bikes as a family over to the Mardi Gras parade and then back again. On the way back I was wearing my backpack that had probably 20 pounds worth of beads! It was nuts, but oh-so-fun!

What a hoot! I like this. Other suggestions have been Johnny Walker, and Trudy (treadmill)...all are catchy.

Now, I have to say, my new BFF (whatever the name) and I aren't on such great terms as she is cantankerous and we can't get her set up...........research has shown this is a huge problem with iFit. We have finally gotten it updated (I think) and now I can use it just doing laps...which is fine, but can't use the maps. It is designed that you can use google maps and make maps anywhere and it will follow it. I could walk around the Eiffel tower today and Central park tomorrow. Well, I can't, but should be able to, lol. So, I'll have to work on it and see if we will keep it or if I have to load it up and return it. (an hour each way!!! and it took DH over an hour to put it together!!) It's VERY nice and has great suspension which is why we chose it more so than the fancy stuff it is supposed to do. DH even walked this morning!

Anyone else have a machine with iFit? Any suggestions?

Sunday, I got in about 30 minutes total doing it at different times when she would let me walk! ;)

Monday-30 minutes. I took my tablet over and watched Netflix. Is this bad?? PLEASE tell me someone else has done this! It was great...and made the time go faster. I could not think of one movie to watch though!! Maybe I'll think of one later! I'm not a tv watcher or even watch movies much. (my nose is usually in the computer when the tv is on....) Oh...maybe I could go back and watch Friends...or some other fun "old" sitcoms. Hmmmm...

Monday done...P90X back/shoulders and treadmill

I do the same on treadmill, i'll either watch Netflix or read a book. I will set it on intervals training and when it slows down I will read/watch something..but when it's at top speed there's no way I can keep focused on something like that. It does make time go by faster

Monday done - walked/jogged for 30 minutes. I don't know where this warm spell (it was 70 today!)came from, but I'm enjoying it before it snows again.

I wimped out today. I was just too tired to move, so I sat and started organizing my supplies again.

Valerie, no worries! You just take care of your family.
Conda, I always watch tv while on the treadmill or read a book. I've even put my laptop on it and watched you tube videos on it.
I *think* my dad and stepmother bought me an elliptical for my birthday. I'll know Wednesday when they make the delivery!

Anyone interested in taking over the chart? I can do it again, but don't want to hog it.....lol!

Chart is updated!

Seems like I'm always late for the chart update...the disadvantage of west coast living. At any rate, I did get in a walk today, but it was shorter than usual. It never got above 35, and it was cloudy. I supplemented with stretches and weights at home. Looks like I might have to bring the "circuit" training back. More winter ahead in the next few days.

Ann-I love that you improvise when the weather doesn't cooperate!

Speaking of weather...70 degrees yesterday here in Missouri...it's raining now, and 1-2 inches of snow tonight!! Crazy Missouri weather! VERY thankful for the rain.

Started weights again this morning.

BC1 and 25 minutes on the treadmill.

DD and DH BOTH walked on it this morning. Maybe there is hope! :)

Carla, I've got my fingers crossed for the elliptical for you! :)
I need a band-aid for Monday please - littlest DS had a tummy bug and I felt "off" all day too. Today is a much better day around these parts.

Did my river loop again today, at a very brisk pace...got some sore spots from it. And I noticed this morning that my pants were a little looser! Results at last!!

Take care of yourself, Conda! Shin Splints hurt!!!

Wednesday done-25 minutes on the treadmill and 5 on the elliptical. It was making a funny clunk sound, so I figured I better stop until dh can look at it! And I need to adjust my stride on it and couldn't figure it out. But it has some nice features that I'm excited to try. It has iFit stuff and it sounds a lot like Conda's treadmill!

I feel like the messenger with the bad news. Hey, I'm closing in (quickly) on a big number with a zero and I'm doing pretty good! I'm keeping up the daily workout, walk the golf course in the summer and enjoy life immensely. Old age isn't really all that bad, you just need to keep engaged physically, mentally, and socially. And have some parents with pretty good genes.

And Wednesday is done.
