Thursday - Weight training
Friday - Biking
Saturday - Hula

This coming week I'm going to step it up a lot. I've been scraping by with really minimal exercise this past week. At least I was doing *something* but it really was bare minimums (20 minutes, low effort, etc). Time to step it up :)

back to feeling better...yeah! Monday done, some treadmill and upper body. Thinking of going to Zumba tonight. I'm SO not good at it, but a friend asked me to go. I told her as long as she doesn't laugh too loud i'll go with her. LOL

Rented a family bike in Galveston and rode 20 mins, stopped, walked on the beach, then got back on and biked back to the rental shack. So, can I use one for today and one as a make up, please? I just have to admit that it has been years since I was on a bike, and wow are my thighs screaming!!!

Saturday - 25 minutes of stairs.
I had planned to do better than this, but between putting holiday decorations away, planning my son's birthday party and working at my other son's preschool, it seems other things are taking over again.

WOA!!! Galveston!! I was born there and enjoyed a family Christmas on the beach last year! Didn't know you were near there!!

Eeek, I forgot to exercise the rest of last week. I'll do better this week.

Today I was at physical therapy for 2 hours and at least 1.25 hours was exercise. My back, shoulders, arms and calves are sore to prove it.

Sorry - I'm going to have to dip out of this month. I have a dear friend in hospital and I cant see beyond visits to the hospital etc for at least the next 3 weeks. Maybe I'll be able to rejoin in February.

This is a combination of yoga and strength training. She has you move in and out of a yoga pose several times, then hold it for 15 seconds. I was shaking a lot too.

I'm not sure what a yoga instructor would say, but Tony Horton actually points out a guy shaking holding a pose in P90X Yoga - and says it's a "good" thing b/c good things are happening in the body...he doesn't specify, but I assume he means muscular strength and endurance. So shake away and if you're at home, be glad, cuz no one can see you (except your own family and pets, lol)

LOL, Cheri! My dog kept a close eye on me today while I did Jillian Michael's Kickboxing video. I don't know if he was afraid I'd kick him or hurt myself! I have a feeling I'm going to be sore tomorrow!

Monday I did random movement for 20 minutes. I feel like such a dork just watching Biggest Loser and doing squats and wall pushups and various cardio zumba moves and stuff, but I'm SO determined to move my body intentionally every day, even if just for 20 minutes and even if not a structured "normal" workout LOL. There will be plenty of bona fide workouts, but on the weird days where I don't work an hour into my schedule to do a class or get outside running or something, at least I'm doing *something* right? Hehehe. I've managed intentional movement 7 of the last 8 days. I only took Sunday off, so I'm feeling pretty happy about my efforts so far.

Back outdoors for me today. An hour and a half walk (more like a slog) through the melting snow. It was quite a workout, hard to drag your feet through that heavy mush.

Wednesday is done. I was so sore when I got up...I felt like I'd been ran over (twice) by a freight train!!! (rough appointment with the chiropractor which is unusual) Today's workout was to be shoulder/neck stabilization, which is where I was already sore...I dug out a BL video and got in some cardio! Muscles are loosened up now. Sometimes you just have to revise and modify!

I'm done for today. Basic Training with Bob! My legs were a bit sore this morning from yesterday's kickboxing, but feeling better now. I'm using Conda's trick and putting a dvd in the machine for tomorrow. That way I can do that, hit the gym or the treadmill.

I measured my waist when we first started and measured again today. I'm down 1/2 inch! I've only made little changes in my diet, so if I continue to make small changes and keep up the workouts, I should be in headed in the right direction!

Tuesday - Did 1.5 miles on the treadmill (26 minutes) and 10 minutes on the stationary bike. Felt good to get a more substantial workout done :)

I slacked off today..unless you count fighting the French Revolution at a matinee of Les Miserables. I felt like I had run a marathon when it was over! Can I plug in that 2 hour snow walk from last week?? I PROMISE tomorrow will be better!
