Help
I haven't been around the last little bit, I know. My precious aunt was put on hospice last week. We had made arrangements to stay with her 3 nights a week, as her foster home is not staffed for the level of care she needs now. Unless she perks back up, it looks as if it will be only a few more days now. I would appreciate prayers and/or good thoughts that she is peaceful and pain free, and for our family, especially her son. thank you!

No matter how long we have to prepare for these transitions, we are never ready. I pray that she will have a peaceful last few days surrounded by her loving family, and that you all will find peace and comfort in the many memories of her long, happy life.

God bless you for giving your time and energy helping your aunt in this way. It certainly lifts many burdens. I pray that God will be with your entire family in this time of transition. Lord knows it's not easy.

My aunt slipped away early this morning. Her son and his daughter were with her. It was very peaceful.

I'm so sorry, Gayle. I'm glad to hear her end was peaceful. I hope that and the fact that you did all you could comforts you a little. Adding a prayer for you and your family. Even when it's expected and perhaps a blessing in a way, it is very hard on the ones left behind.
