I really enjoyed the explanation of the new Pocket Life products in today's newsletter. I must confess that last week while browsing the boutique I saw a banner mentioning them, couldn't find any info and was a bit confused. Still was last night when I saw them announced on the "new products" thread in the forum - wasn't sure exactly what to do with them or what they could be used for or what they exactly ARE...

After reading today's article I understand better and I love the idea that these can be 4x6" little layouts. Many of you know how I like small things and I also love being able to print at Costco - in the 4x6" size the prints are professional but only 13 cents.
So, now I am thinking that I can make little layouts of an event or most anything - and print in 4"x6" size, bind it my "Bind-It-All" (love an excuse to use that machine) and have some smaller layout books.
Cool idea and I think I might be liking these Pocket Life products.
Now, for a sale......
(PS forgot to say I love that they will easily and quickly fit into standard 4x6 photo albums too)

I agree, Marilyn! When I saw teecee's Forum thread yesterday, I said "Pocket Life".. huh?? Then I looked at them in the boutique and realized what you did: they can be stand alones for a 4x6 layout yet can be combined into layout templates. And, yes, I know you love small things, lol. These are made for you! I think they'd great for greeting cards, too, since Michaels has envelopes to fit. What a neat product!

Oh, cool, Diane -- didn't even think of "easy cards". Great idea...

I was thinking of using them for cards and maybe some hybrid things....Sort of been doing this for a long time now anyway. I've often used ATC sized Mini LOs on larger LOs. And I have many 4x6 mini albums.

Hmmm...I never thought of the cost saving part. I've really hesitated to get my 12x12 layouts printed because we're on a very tight budget. I haven't printed photos since my film camera, so I have a quick question. Obviously, photo places will print 4x6. What about other sizes, like 3x4 and ATC sizes?

Me too, Marilyn. I'm with you on Costco printing. While I enjoy working on 12 x12's I never print them.

On ATC's, I place them on a 4x6 document and have printed then trim. A lot of times you get 4x6's printed free or a sale.

I'm with you, Jean - I've only printed a few 12x12's but I have printed about 10 of my favorite LOs at Costco in 8x8" -- also pretty inexpensive. I keep them in an 8x8 scrapbook/photo album I got at a craft store.

Another option Monica for ATC size - I put them nine on a page (one of Elisha's ATC products had a grid to do this easily) and bring them to Staples and for 99 cents they print on cardstock and they look great. So I get 9 ATCs for 99 cents. It's how I always print my Hybrid ATC front and backs. Sometimes Staples has printing sales so you can go even cheaper.

I'm thinking they would be great to print and tuck into the kids lunch boxes or back packs for little love notes.

Cards! I thought cards too, when I saw these adorable pocket life cards, Diane! And I think I already have a couple boxes of the envelopes stashed in my cluttered office! :)

Loved the tutorial on the blog! Very helpful! I think the products will be great to utilize for event albums...like a family vacation or something...it wouldn't have to be 12x12, it could be smaller, but would be great printed and bound...thinking cap is on!

My first thoughts were for journaling cards on layouts. You could use these to hole a place for journaling instead of having journaling as an after thought!
