My niece's husband is heading for Afghanistan --- he has done 3 tours, 2 in Iraq and one previous one in Afghanistan. They have a little boy Peter who will turn 6 and a little girl Briana who will turn 3 while their Daddy is away fighting for our country.

Pete: As I get ready to embark on this 4th chapter of my deployment history. I ask God to watch over my wife and kids while I am gone. Please don't let my kids drive my wife too crazy. I love you and will miss you Heather

Please say a prayer for Pete's safe return AND for Heather to be strong while he is gone. I know there are a lot of you who have been through this before AND I think we all (my Sister, my Mother, myself, friends AND family) could use a few of your prayers too. Needless to say I have cried a few tears this morning.

Praying for them! Four times, wow. Our son was deployed twice, once to Iraq and once to Afghanistan, before leaving the Marine Corps.

Sherry, praying for your niece's family. I can only imagine how hard it is.
Its been a huge adjustment in our family knowing our DS is just at the beginning of his Marine career.

Praying , Heavenly Father, watch over Pete as he is parted from his wife and children and please keep him in Your care.
Heather has a great responsibility to take care of the family while Pete is gone. Help give her support where and when it is needed. Give them comfort when it is needed and send those to encourage both of them to hang on, till they meet again.
