when I am in lightroom and I find the pic I want to use, I click on edit in pse 11, hoping it will open there,,,but I can't find it!
isn't this the purpose of an organizer so we can see everything at once? I'm probably doing something wrong, otherwise I really like it

Sorry, I don't have Lightroom. maybe someone else will come along to help.
Here are some free help booklets that may help you with a lot of the questions.

Hmmm, I don't have Lightroom - I'm hoping someone else who has it will come along who can help you with that. In the meantime, you can try one of these three methods:
With PSE 11 open, go to the menu bar at the top of the screen and click on File and select Open (Shortcut: Ctrl O), then navigate to the photo you want to edit, click on it to select it and then click the Open button.
With PSE 11 open, double click in the workspace area, navigate to the photo you want to edit, click on it to select it, and click the Open button.
With PSE 11 open or closed, you could also navigate to the photo you want to edit, right click on it, then select Open with>Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. The photo will then open in the PSE 11 workspace.
Note: I'm using PSE 11 on Windows 7
Before you edit the photo, you want to be sure to duplicate it and close the original. HTH

I use Lightrooom, but I use it with Photoshop. I have LR 4 on my computer at home, but am working in LR 3 on the laptop I have with me.
I don't think this changed from 3 to 4, but I can check when I get home.
In Lightroom, choose "Edit>Open In " I think the list of options will depend on what is installed on your computer. This is what they look like on my laptop. This screen shot was taken in the "Develop" tab, but the same options are available when you're in the Library one.
