Speed Scrap, 7:30 Pm Et!

Recommended Posts

It's time for some speed! Join Carla (CRS) and Theresa (tiza126) for the Speed Scrap Crop! We'll give you some tasks, spread out over an hour. You'll then have another hour to get your layout finished and posted in the Gallery! Join us for some speed and tons of fun!

You can post your layouts in the NSD Gallery. And as always, we will be updating this thread with the tasks as we post them so if you have trouble with the chatroom or can't keep up, you can get them here!

AND, be sure to have the free Scrap Girls Exuberance Collection downloaded, unzipped and ready to go!

Task #1- I'm going to conquer my fear of patterned papers today! Choose two patterned papers from the Exuberance Collection and a solid paper from any other collection.

Task #2- I'm going to pick at least two frames from the Exuberance collection and then pick photos to go in those frames. Feel free to use more photos, even if you don't frame them.

Task #3-Don't forget a spot for journaling! Use one or more of the journaling embellishments in the Exuberance collection and tell the story!

Task #4-Embellishment time! Use at least 1 button, 1 brad and 1 ribbon from the Exuberance collection and 4 more embellishments from Exuberance or any other kit.

Task #5-Use some word art as a title or subtitle to your layout! Also include an Alpha on your layout somewhere.

Task #6-Let's add a last minute touch of style! Include 1 style on your layout somewhere, other than shadows. Finish up any last minute touches, including shadows, extra journaling, etc. Upload your layouts to the NSD Gallery!

There's some excellent layouts. Thanks for the chat - I know I didn't 'chat' much - it was rather late and I was struggling to keep up with Carla's tasks. I think in total mine took me a little more than two hours - I can definitely say I am not a 'speedy scrapper' - I do love to ponder to create the perfectly finished page! Anyway, here's the end result - I'm quite pleased with it. Thanks Carla for the challenge.
