This month, I thought we would take a look at Pocket Life Products. Now, don't sell yourself short, you can do this!
A couple of reasons that I like Pocket Life Products:
- Quick, once you get the hang of it
- Very budget friendly to print
- I find that I journal more
This week, I want to look at Pocket Life in it's most basic sense. I have templates that match the page protectors that I bought. You can check your company's website, or you can use the templates that our designers created for us (check in the Pocket Life category). Once you have your template chosen, choose your pictures. Remember, this type of layout is perfect for those events that have lots of photos. I chose to get caught up on my SG 2013: Project Life layouts, so I picked pictures from April (yes, I'm really am that far behind...sigh).
In it's most basic sense, Pocket Life Products are meant to be printed and put in pockets. Knowing that, I chose cards that matched my pictures fairly well and clipped the pictures and cards to the various "pockets" on the template. The last thing was to add my journalling, and I'm done. I added a lot of journalling (it just seems to come easier with the Pocket Life layouts). For those of you that don't have much to journal, there are always purely decorative cards that you can use.
To print, I crop each part of the template to 4x6 and send them to Shutterfly. I can get them printed for about 10 cents per print (12 x $0.10 = $1.20) versus two 12x12 layouts for $2 (or more) per layout.
Here's my layouts: 2-pager, Left, Right
