I am a new owner of Flip Pal -- as of about 2 hours ago! I've been going around my office scanning all kinds of things, notes, photos, text messages on a cell phone, and office supplies. I'm in love with this little machine already!

I have a question for you fellow scanner owners. Is it necessary to purchase (and install - which I hate to do) a protector for the glass? I'm usually very careful with my equipment.

Hi Barb
I love my Flip Pal too. I don't have a glass protector on mine and it seems to be fine! Actually, I never even thought of such a thing, oops. :)

I don't have one on mine. If I'm scanning something that could scratch it, I just put something clear under it.
