Cs6 Question

When using a brush in CS6, I try using the shift key to brush a straight line and get no brushing, not even the initial brush mark at the starting place. If I release the shift key, I get the brush to work, but cannot brush a straight line - all freehand. Have they changed how you do this is CS6?

Hm...that's odd. It works for me. There must be a setting to make it work/not work. Let me poke around a little and I'll see if I can figure it out!

Try resetting preferences if nothing else works. I haven't been able to find anything about the shift key not working to make a straight line with your brushing.

And a big UGH - b/c I've been there done that with frustrating things that should work but don't!

I've never had that problem in CS6 either, but I did have something similar happen in an earlier version. I reset it from the brush panel and it fixed the problem.

Click where I've circled in red in the screen shot below and choose Reset All Locked Settings.

Thank you! I tried April's suggestion first. It didn't work the first time, but did get a starting point brush mark and and end point. Tried the resetting procedure again and now it works. Thank you all for taking the time to get me a fixed up. You are the best!

Yay! I'm glad it works now Betty! Filing that info away in case I ever need it myself, including the try it twice "trick"
