How to add Scrap Girls Blinkies to your Signature

A blinkie is a small image, often animated, that appears in your Forum Signature.  There are blinkies for where you live, Scrap Girls Events, Member titles and many others.  Please note that some blinkies can be used by invitation only, like those for our Member of the Month and Scrap Girls Teams.
At the time of writing this tutorial, it is not possible to add a blinkie to your Signature using Internet Explorer 11.  This is due to an issue with IE11 and is out of our control. At this time,  you will need to use a different internet browser to add a blinkie to your signature.
There is a limit to the number of blinkies or other images you can add to your Signature (see screenshot below) and a limit to their size.  There is also a limit to the number of lines you can have in your Signature.

Step 1.  Find a blinkie in another Member’s Signature that you like.  Remember some blinkies are invitation only.  Then “right click” on the blinkie to bring up a menu box.  We found during testing that sometimes you had to right click twice quickly to bring up the menu box.  (screenshots were taken in Windows 7)
Firefox
From the menu choose “Copy Image Location”

Chrome
From the menu choose “Copy image URL”

In both cases this will copy your chosen blinkie’s URL to your computer’s clipboard.
Step 2.  Click your User Name, in the top right corner of the forum, and click “My Settings”.

Step 3.  Next click on “Signature” on the left side, under the purple bar.

Step 4.  In the Edit Signature Box, make sure your cursor is in the place you wish your blinkie to appear.  At the top of the Edit box, on the second row, click the “image” icon, its square with what looks like a tree in it.

Step 5.  Paste the URL you copied in Step 1 into the box that appears, and click OK.

Step 6.  Your new blinkie should now appear in the Edit Box.  All you have to do now is click “Save Changes”.
