CRS
When I resize something smaller than 12X12, I don't always change the dpi to 72. Sometimes I keep it at 200 (for small items like atc's). For the sizes you mentioned, I usually put the dpi around 100-150 and then the larger side of the document to 600 pixels. For the quality, I try to make the final size around 125 k so I have to play with the quality a bit. HTH

lindarobin
For graphics to be displayed on the web, consider the resolution of most people's monitors. 1024 x 768 is typical, so if you resample your image to that size, your image will display "full screen". If you resample your image to 512 pixel width, your image will take up half the width of the screen. You can use "high" quality unless the resulting file size is considered too big for the upload. MariJ
When I post anything 4x6, ATC size or 5x7 I always just post the original size on ScrapGIrls and it always seems to work!

April Showers
For the gallery, I always make the longest side 600 pixels wide. That way you can get the maximum amount of viewing space. If you make it smaller, well, then it is just smaller. If you make it larger, it won't upload. 600 pixels is the magic number.
