How to View the Latest Forum Content

Step 1. Click on the “View New Content” tab located in the green menu bar on any forum page.

When the page opens you will see a “New Content” menu on the left side of the page.

Step 2. Under “By content type”, click “Forum”; a check mark will show beside it.
Step 3. Under “By time period”, click the time period of the latest forum posts you would like to see. You may choose any time period shown between content you have not yet read, all the way through the past year. A check mark will show beside the time period you choose.

(You can see that I chose to view content “New since my last visit”.)
Step 4. Now that you have a check mark next to the time period you’ve chosen, you will see a list of those forum topics to the right of the content menu.

There are now three different ways you can view the content under each topic:
Method 1
Hover over the small circle (or star) to the left of the topic title, and you will see that it says “Go to first unread post”, click here and it will take you to the first post in that thread that you have not read.

Note: The stars denote topics that you have previously posted comments in.

 

Method 2
Hover over the day/date just below the name of the last poster and to the far right of the topic title, and you will see that it says “Go to last post”. Click here and it will take you to the last comment made in that thread.

 

Method 3
Hover over the small circle with an arrow located between the topic title and the last poster’s avatar, and it will say “Preview this topic”.

Click on the arrow and a preview of the topic will come up with the first and last posts made. If other comments were made that you have not read, you will also see the first comment that you have not read. You can now either click on the X to close the preview, or if you want to read the entire topic, click the “Go to this topic button”.


Note: The last post made under any topic can be viewed by clicking on the date/time just below the last poster’s name to the right of the topic on any forum page.
