Do You Use Lightroom?

Hi Scrappy Friends!

I was just wondering how many of you use Lightroom? I have only played around a tiny bit myself - but have heard fantastic things about it that go beyond editing photos. If you use it would you mind sharing what you like about it and what features you use the most?

I use LR4 for editing raw photos. There are several features I haven't explored, but I've used it most for editing big batches of photos that were taken in low light- like the musicals my kids have been in. The only troubles I've had are from its default workspace being 16 bit ProPhoto RGB which doesn't play as well with other programs.

I also like that it is pretty easy to export photos from LR to SmugMug where I share my photos.

One of my favorite features in LR 5.3 is the radial filter. I use it to change photo lighting, especially on faces that have dark shadows. To me, it's easier in LR than doing it in PS. I also have quite a few presets and some favorite black and white looks that take too much time in PS. As April said, once you've made changes to one photo, it easy to apply the same change to batches of photos.

I do not use it to organize scrap supplies although now that it supports .png, I may try it in the future. I do prefer a file organizer that I can use to browse my file folder structure over Lightroom's process of having to import.
