lori92760
ok, I remember why a two years ago, I stopped trying to figure this out. all the videos are so simple. I draw my custom path and I click on it to get the little bar that lets me know I can type and I can get one or so letters and then I get a circle with an x in it. in playing (maybe not the best work because I am not having fun) my letters sometimes move backwards along the line, not forward like I see in the videos. and if I ever get the figured out I want text on the top and the bottom of a circle, but not upside down on the bottom, right side up. oh someone please help me. thanks. lori92760
UGH. I reset my tools and I can type but I do not want the words on the bottom of the circle upside down.
A-M
This is not an easy one... unless you do two half circle paths separately, I do not think there is anyway to not have them upside down as they go around the circle.
jhbren
Hi, Lori I've never tried typing on a path, although I know PSE10 (which I use, too) has that option. When I want text in a circle, I use the text warp tool. Choose the Arc option, horizontal, at 50% for a full circle. To have text on the bottom, you need to repeat for the word(s), using -50% - percentage is controlled with a slider. Then fit your two word groups to the circle size you want by adjusting their sizes together. That's how I made the title in the page linked below. Hope this helps. lori92760
aha I figured it out not using the cookie cutter tool, but the shape selection tool. after its typed click on that tool and the bottom choice is shape selection tool and that will flip it to the inside or the outside and right it and move it around the circle. thank god for you tube. jenrou
I've had some of the same problems with typing on a path or in a circle. Glad you figured it out. I'll try your way.
