Belle

A Stormy Collection?

19 posts in this topic

I'm looking for a nice stormy kit. Not snow but rain, wind and crashing waves. I've got a beautiful kit from another site but don't like to use other kits when posting at SG. Thanks

That's a tough one.

found these but I don't think they are quite what you are looking for.

I've got "by the sea" and it reminds me of crashing waves, but I think that is more to do with the colour. And our crashing waves are minor compared to yours.

Those are exactly the collections I had thought of too - and like Valerie, I don't think it's exactly what you have in mind, Belle.

Remember, it's okay to use products from other sites as long as you credit the designer(s), but don't post any links or site/store names. HTH :)

Wow, thanks for the quick reply. I have got both of those and would be able to adapt them if need be. Thanks Valerie and Theresa.

You might also be able to use Durin's Overcast papers, perhaps darkened a bit to suit the mood. And, if you have it, Brandy Murry's Raindance, which has been retired.

I'd like to take something like this on! What style are you looking for?

Would you like something dreamy and soft like Mermaid Mystique Collection?

EBA_Collection_MermaidMystique_MKTG_150.

or are you thinking something more whimsical or stylized?

Those papers look like they would work, thanks Elisha. I'm looking for a very gloomy dark stormy look.

Maybe you could add a gradient to one of these papers and make the sky seem more dark and threatening.

I actually have a lovely video on how to use the gradient tool and yet I never think of using it. Good idea, thanks for this.

I'll admit, I'm just seeing this - but perhaps I may have something to look forward to in the newsletter ;)

If you have the Twilight Magic Midnight Paper Mini, there's a great stormy paper in it - SJO_TwilightMagic_Midnight_PaperMini_Rain.jpg - also some that I think qualify as gloomy.
