Joey Posted September 16, 2014 Share Posted September 16, 2014 i'm working in PSE12 and wondering what is the best way to keep track of products used in layouts. I've tried naming each layer with the product name, but that is so time consuming. I thought keeping track was just for posting with credits, but it would be SO nice to go back to older layouts (as in yesterday's ) and know what I used. AnnBK Posted September 16, 2014 Share Posted September 16, 2014 If you drag your item to your page up from the photo bin, the name will automatically attach in the layers palette thumbnail. Also, you can check the file names by going to file>open recently edited file. You can adjust the number of files shown in the PSE preferences section. Hope that helps! Never realized that when dragging from photo bin you kept file name instead of becoming layer 1, 2, or whatever, as when you use move tool with image on screen..
