I had a few appointments and it was treacherous driving at times, but I made it there and back! T Doesn't seem as bad as they predicted but my friend about 20 minutes away had SO much more. Plus her neighbor's tree broke, fell over onto HER (my friend's) house and into their attic, then broke off and fell to the ground... Onto and into her car below... Back window, trunk smashed, etc - and the tree is still on it.. No calendars arrived for me today, maybe friday! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! Everyone. butterflykisses Posted November 27, 2014 Share Posted November 27, 2014 Please don't hate me. It was 68 and sunny this afternoon. The nights are close to freezing though - - high desert weather. AND I GOT MY CALENDAR TODAY. I can't believe it made it all the way to Arizona so quickly. HAPPY, HAPPY ME!!!! Every month is amazing. I was going to tease you with a word or two about each but it seemed mean . I will say that I wish Theresa's embellishment came in my size , there is lots of glitter, bling, humor AND I think I figured out what Carla got at the container store. I grew up in Michigan so I know what it's like. When we moved down to Texas we hit an awful ice storm. We were driving a Chevette station wagon hauling a uhaul. To make a long story short. We did a 360 on the freeway at least once. Slightly rear ended someone through no fault of our own. Had to get to towed, and having car fall off tow truck. Went down a hill backwards and narrowly missing a telephone by "that much". Finally stopped for the night in a town with only 2 hotels. Went to find food and got stuck in a parking lot because the only way out was blocked by a car and the other way was up a iced hill. There were over 1000 cars stranded on the highway between Little Rock ARK and Texarkana which is about 145 miles. That's awful about your friend's house and car - Hope nobody was injured! It snowed the biggest part of the day here - I heard that a tractor trailer jackknifed on one of the mountains near us this morning and they had mountain roads closed down due to treacherous conditions. We lost power for about 8.5 hours. I'm ready to head to Karen's for the rest of the winter! I don't even know if the mail went today - maybe it did and maybe my calendar is waiting in the mailbox now?? I'll look tomorrow. I spent 10 winters living north of Chicago and another 7 years in Kansas...... Driving in that stuff is scary and dangerous. Hope you stay warm & safe ladies. We only got a little snow, because it was so warm when it was coming down. There is just a dusting on the fields now. I am shocked that Karen got her package first!
