This will be a fun way to build a layout using the special cake ingredients listed below! 9:00 p.m. (ET) Build a Birthday Cake Party Chat Everyone who attends the party chat will receive a “party favor”, a special gift created just for this chat. There is also a fantastic big prize available, especially created just for this chat! You’ll have to join us to learn more! To get ready for the party, pick one ingredient from each of the lists below. Each ingredient represents one part of the layout you will create. We will reveal the meanings of each ingredient at the chat so you can build your layout! We will also update this page during the chat. Post a Build a Birthday Cake layout by 11:59 a.m. ET Tuesday (October 21) in the Scrap 10 Challenge Gallery to be entered into a random drawing for a prize! Come to the chat to find out what each of these ingredients represents for the layout you will create! See you at the party chat! Birthday Cake Choices: Pick one from each list. Type of cake = Number of photos Sheet cake or 1-layer cake = 4 photos 2-layer cake = 2 photos 3-layer cake = 1 photo Cupcakes = 3 photos Cake Flavor = Number of papers (minimum, either plain or patterned) Red Velvet = 2 papers Vanilla = 5 papers Chocolate = 4 papers Carrot = 3 papers Frostings = Number of types of elements (may use more than one of each type) Fondant = 6 different types of elements Cream Cheese = 5 different types of elements Buttercream = 4 different types of elements Chocolate = 3 different types of elements Decorations = Elements (include at least one of these) Shaved Chocolate = Tag or arrow Sprinkles = Flower or roundish element Candy Pieces = Ribbon or string Colored Frosting Swirls = Metallic, wooden or plastic element Cake topper = Type of writing (minimum) Number 10 = 1 alpha 10 Candles = 1 font Purple Buttercream Frosting Flower (made of frosting) = 1 alpha and 1 font Fresh Flowers = 1 word art (from kit or made personally) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I need to start thinking about a cake for DS#3's birthday party this weekend...I wonder if he'll let me pick ingredients... probably not. I'll make a batch of cupcakes that are carrot cake with cream cheese frosting (my absolute favorite!). I'll decorate them with Colored Frosting Swirls and Purple Flowers.
