Tree of Doom

Here’s how to play the game:

  • Find the products used to create this tree in the Scrap Girls Boutique.
  • Send your answers to games@scrapgirls.com by 11:59 p.m. (ET), Thursday, December 31.
  • Please include the product name and its web address link for each item you find. Any product that includes the specific item will count as a correct answer.
  • Use the subject line “Christmas Tree of Doom” for your email entry; include your name and your Scrap Girls Forum user name, if available.

The Christmas tree card above is made using 14 different papers. The paper designers include:

  • Amanda Fraijo-Tobin
  • Angie Briggs
  • Brandy Murry
  • Elisha Barnett
  • Ginny Whitcomb
  • Jennifer Ziegler
  • Julie White
  • Kim Meeder
  • Laurel Lakey
  • Marlene Peacock
  • Melissa Renfro
  • Sherrie Piegdon
  • Syndee Nuckles
  • Thao Cosgrove

The Christmas tree card has 34 embellishments. Those designers include:

  • Amanda Fraijo-Tobin
  • Ang Campbell
  • Angela Blanchard
  • Angie Briggs
  • Armi Custodio
  • Brandy Hackman
  • Brandy Murry
  • Cheri Thieleke
  • Cherise Oleson
  • Cindy Rohrbough
  • Doris Castle
  • Durin Eberhart
  • Elisha Barnett
  • Emily Abramson
  • Ginny Whitcomb
  • Jacqui Smith
  • Jan Ransley
  • Jennifer Ziegler
  • Jo Corne
  • Katherine Weaver
  • Kerry Veale
  • Kim Meeder
  • Laura Louie
  • Laurel Lakey
  • Lettering Delights
  • Mandy Steward
  • Marlene Peacock
  • Melissa Renfro
  • Paula Wright
  • Sarah Batdorf
  • Shalae Tippets
  • Sheri Johnson
  • Sherrie Piegdon
  • Syndee Nuckles

Don't panic! You don't have to find them all to play the game. (Whew!) But anyone who DOES get them all correct will automatically win a $10 Gift Certificate! No problem, you've got it. This means more than one person can win a $10 gift certificate - because anyone this motivated deserves a prize! The winners of these gift certificates can get in on the rest of the game, too!

For all players:

  • If you get 25 or more correct answers, you will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Gift Certificate!
  • If you get 10-24 correct answers, you will be entered into a drawing for a $10 Gift Certificate!
  • If you get 5-9 correct answers, you will be entered into a drawing for a $5 Gift Certificate!

Does that sound possible? Hope so!

HINT: The papers for the background and star are both included; the drop shadows are not. Everything is very straight-forward: You’ll be looking for papers and embellishments only (except for that Lettering Delights product which is obviously a font). There are no ScrapSimple products, brushes, or tools.

If you aren't up to playing the game, enjoy the pretty Christmas card and see if you can recreate it using your favorite papers and embellishments! Have fun!

Ack! It's back!

Well... here I go searching for another year. Maybe this time I'll find more than 6 items. :D

Good luck everyone!

PS: Hmmm... I love that white bow! Now I wonder where that came from. Off to look....

LOL Diane, that was the first thing I thought of when I first saw the tree - I need that white bow. GMTA! :)

What's really funny is that I found out I already have it in my stash and didn't know it.

I believe I found all but one red paper - my dear husband is now off for Christmas so I may stop at this - well then again I do love a mystery!

Have a Great Christmas Everyone!

Oh no! I know how good you are at finding these, so I went back to my layered file to double check all the items and I found another mistake!!!

I had a few members of the team check the products to make sure you could see them in the marketing images. There were a few that were super tiny, so I made a few changes that were supposed to make it easier for you.

Unfortunately, I didn't update everything on my designer list- so there ISN'T a paper by Kerry Veale and there IS one from Ginny Whitcomb!

I've updated the opening post and I'm so sorry I didn't triple check it all before I posted!

Thanks and congrats to Joyce too!

to all just have fun with this -

I always loved it because it is just the two of us and before he retired he always was the one to work - so the tree game and me we have spent many hours together with carols playing in the background and now he is off But I still play the game because it is addictive and fun...

I did get a cold so I am off to rest again...

Bye and Merry Christmas Everyone!

I have all but two papers. And I can't find them anywhere in the two designers I have left!!

They're there, I promise! When I used to do the tree (and drive my family nuts at Christmas), I would get off track when I found a similar paper by a different designer. Then I was looking for that other paper in the wrong designer's things. I only got them all right one time! My husband was like, "I'll give you $20 if you just stop looking..." 'twas an addictive little tree.

Oh, that's funny. I told myself I wasn't going to do the Tree of Doom this year. Three days later…..sigh….I just sent my answers to you. I finally found the last two. And I'm so hoping they are all correct. I worked hard and I'm tired!!!

Just got home a little while ago and settled in for some relaxation from that traffic! Whew, what a disaster! But, I did get all my errands finished. One last errand--airport to pick up my son this weekend.

I've found this tree to be addictive--Christmas tunes take away the stress and I love puzzles. But I may be doomed with this puzzle. :rudolf:

I haven't even started with the Tree of Doom. I'm so behind on everything, I doubt that I'll get caught up. With my Mojo on some beach in Hawaii, I'm left all alone with my cats. They are no help to me this year. They just stare at the tree and then look back at me as if I'm crazy. Hmmmmm! Could they be right?

Carol, you make me giggle, sorry about all that!

Can I join your Mojo in Hawaii please? :D
