Ande43
Since yesterday afternoon my PSE 8 goes off seconds after it opens......any ideas what to do? It is really not a big deal as I have PSE 13 installed now.
lindarobin
I'm inclined to think that installing PSE 13 in the same directory as PSE 8 has corrupted the PSE 8 program. The reasoning is that perhaps some v8 files got overwritten with v13 files.
Ande43
I think I will just uninstall 8 as I am getting pretty comfortable with 13....Good idea??
lindarobin
You may as well. If uninstalling PSE 8 adversely affects PSE 13 (by removing common files), just reinstall PSE 13.
Ande43
I Un installed 8 and everything seems to be ok..... so far so good. Thanks!
Ande43
One strange thing........when I right click on a TIFF file to open and click open with....since I uninstalled 8 both 8 and 13 are gone from that list of options.....I can however open 13 and then "Open" and go to the one I want and click open and it does. I don't think I need to do anything since I can get to the tiffs ....just thought it was interesting and wondered if any of you had seen this happen. lindarobin
If the program is not listed, browse to where the PSE 13 exe file is stored and select it. In Win 7, you may find it here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 13.
Ande43
I went to the (X86) setting and then to Adobe but there was no Photoshop Elements 13 there....was an 8.
