I have all my scrapbook items backed up on an EHD, which I update about once every couple of weeks. I also have Carbonite, which saved me once, when my hard drive crashed. I suppose it would be a good idea to do something and keep it in the Safety Deposit Box of somewhere.....Do any of you do that??? kivi5 Posted January 21, 2015 Share Posted January 21, 2015 Task #13 took a couple of pictures of my morning activities Task #14: started layout and am thinking of 3 papers to use Speedbump #3 I backup to an EHD which isnt' up to date. but my DH set me up with an online backup for my computer so that runs in the background and is always up to date unless I get a bunch of new supplies and then i have to make sure my computer stays active long enough for it to update. I do know it's telling me now that it's deleting things and can't back up anymore. I think I've reached it's limits or something. So I don't know what it is even doing right now. I also have two external hard drives with things on them. I thought one was about to die on me so bought the second one. On top of that I burn everything to CDs. I have a burn folder that is getting too full again so I need to take care of that. I hate doing it. But then I think…what if…and I'm glad I have those hard copies of everything. I have some EHDs tha are my back up system but I would like to backup offsite. Before taht I need to change my current internet servcie provider becuase uploads are counted in the data usage in the same way downloads are. Thanks for the reminder, Monica. I have 2 EHD both in my home, in fact both in the same room - not a good idea eh? I might consider giving an EHD to someone in the family for safe keeping but have never liked the idea of "clouds". Speed Bump #3 - I currently have all my photos and supplies backed up and do this weekly. I use 4 EHD's: two for layouts and supplies and two for photos. I backup my phone photos to the cloud and on the EHD's also. Since I take my backed up business files to the bank safety deposit box weekly, I also change out my photo EHD's at the same time. Marie-Christine Posted January 23, 2015 Share Posted January 23, 2015 Task #14 Started my LO with a photo I took of my coffee table first thing on Tuesday morning before I set off to work at 06:25 am. Task #15 Selected my three papers. Speed bump #3 I still back everything up to dvd's as well as my EHD. I will be needing an extra EHD soon, I am currently backing up my 2013 and 2013 scrapbooking challenges onto DVD's to create some extra storage space on my EHD.
