Wow, that's a lot of lines! I'll see what I can do!

I agree Carla. I'm not great on journalling.

However, they don't say how many words to each line...LOL

AND it's not sentences...and they didn't say how long the line has to be............................................

I definitely don't have 10 sentences, but more than 10 lines!

Task Eighteen

The beauty of digital cameras is that we can take as many photos as we like and just keep the ones we like. But how many of you actually delete the photos you don't want to keep.

Have any of you seen the Japanese style of tidying up? The idea is not to focus on what you want to get rid of but to focus on what you want to keep. So if a photo is out of focus, the colours are wrong but you love it anyway, then you keep it.

Spend some time today going through your photos, organise them, and start to think about the photos you love and want to keep. And if there are any you can get rid of, go ahead and do it.

Remember that there will be no task on Sunday but Melanie will be back on Monday with a new set of Jumpstart January Tasks!
Have a good weekend everyone. :)

Task 18

I am pretty good about deleting blurry photos or ones that I just don't like. Even if I like it, I sometime delete it because of a distracting background, or crazy composition that cropping won't fix. I haven't heard about that Japanese style of tidying up. Interesting concept....

I'll spend some time today working on my photos!

I'm going to try and catch up on JJ this weekend. Since my computer crashed, my earlier tasks for JJ are not available. So I'll continue on with task fourteen. My new computer won't be here until the first week of February. Yikes! In the meantime I'm taking my 'dead' computer to Staples and they will take everything off of the hard drive and put it on my EHD. Then I can get some work done and do some catching up. I had Carbonite freeze my backup so that I won't lose anything while I wait for my new computer.

Deleting photos used to strike fear in me!! (the same way cropping "real" photos did) I can now logically look and delete without fear! Great reminder.

Now...for those lines of journaling and posting my layout!!

Task #18

I have been doing this over the last couple of months since I started creating phot books. I am currently sorting through my folders and getting and getting rid of the ones that I don't really need. When i went on the cruise I took over 1000 photos, our trip around Australia another 1500+. Another photo book in the process for that trip. My EHDs were getting full so time to cull.

Task #17 completed here

Task #18. I am seriously considering what I should do about this as I have nearly 25000 images in my PSE Organiser!

I cull many more than I used to immediately I get them off the camera and sometimes I might get rid of photos as soon as they have been scrapped but if the photos are of my nearest and dearest I just cant bear to hit the delete button.
