Project Life 2015

I really need to start snapping more! Some days are just so ordinary that it is hard to think of how to scrap ordinary!

I know what you mean, Lei, that is why I am following a few photo lists and prompts, for those days that I have nothing to photograph.

If anyone is on Pinterest, I have a Project Life Board where I am trying to pin some ideas to keep me inspired http://www.pinterest.com/mbc72/scrapbooking-project-life/

Thank you, Melanie! Yes, I could use new ideas some days. I've almost completed my Project 2014 (9 more pages left--don't post all of them). I enjoyed looking back at 2014 memories last weekend. DH did too!

Count me in on Project 2015. My goal to start is 1-2 pages/month which I think is realistic based on my schedule. I enjoy doing these type of pages.

I going to give it a good try this year! Though I'm not eligible for any prizes, being on the design team, I think I need the challenge to keep current. I've just completed designing the first in a series of monthly layout templates, which I plan to put to good use for myself.

I've also done a new desktop layout for myself every month for the past year and half or so, and didn't realize until just recently, that is also a great way of staying up to date with layouts! It's just a little different in size, so I don't think I will print them.

Hooray, welcome, Marlene!!

I have to confess that I have seen Marlene's new templates and they are amazing, and super easy to work with!

I love working w/ Marlene's templates too...recently purchased Value Packs and like how the pages are coming together so quickly.

I also love working with Cheri Thieleke's templates like 12x12 Quartet Mini and most recently purchased, 12x12 Starry Mini.

I too love working with your templates Marlene. As you know I used the 52 Weeks Templates all through Project Life 2014. As 4th quarter winner I chose your Scrap It Monthly Series 1 Templates. You have explained so simply how to use them as either double or single pages. I can't wait to use them. Thank you.

Thanks Laraine! I was thrilled to see your project every week, you were so diligent in getting it scrapped, and your photos were fantastic! I'm so glad we got to experience a bit of your wonderful country through your camera lens! I'm thrilled you chose my templates as your prize!

So, here is my first layout for the year. I do a new desktop image every month, and crop it to fit my iPad and iPhone too. I love having a calendar right on my desktop. So, in reality, last year, I did a "project life" with desktop images, and didn't even realize it.

I SO want to do this....but am just overwhelmed and don't know how to start. I feel like a page a week is too much...with adult kids I don't feel like I have "a lot" of things to scrap. Seems like everything is just "daily stuff". A picture a day?? Well...that would be a lot of photos of the growing puppy! ;) I would love to have a book at the end of the year...one page each month would only be 12 pages, not much of a book. SO...HELP!!

I have done a LO each month with 4 Photos....one for each week....actually I finished that year on time as I remember. That is doable...chose maybe a photo of some thing special each week. If 12 LO's doesn't seem like enough for you you could continue on and put more than one year in an album.....Another idea is a Calendar with a Photo for each day....that you could wait till the end of the month to do

That is really what a Picture a day means.....it makes you look at all the "Little" things you don't think are important but they make up our days and our lives. I find I look at the simple things so different since doing these.....and Hey, nothing wrong with a growling puppy...LOVE those photos....most of mine are cats and food LOL....but being retired that IS my life most days LOL

I think some people are doing 2 pages a month. In Jacqui's ScrapSimple Digital Layout Album Templates: 12x12 Color Your 365 - Planner 2015 she has a 2 page monthly template. If you did 2 pages a month that would be 24, and most places I have seen start with 25 page books, if you are having them bound, so add a title page, and there is 254. Some days may just have journaling and no photos.

I agree about the picture a day thing, it freaks me out! I figure some weeks will just have more photos than others.spacer.gif

I think the thing to do is just jump in and let it evolve as the year goes on. I have already found that I am a bit bored using the same collection for the whole month, which was what my plan was, so that will probably change next month.

I can't wait to see everyone's monthly layouts in the next couple of weeks.

Thank you ladies!!! I think I will try a double page per month...........did I just say that??? Now for some shopping and planning!!! Keep up the inspiring layouts!!

I actually have a loose page...traditional page protectors??? album that I use for my Project Life pages. I have 2011, 2013, and soon 2014 in it. 2012 might get finished eventually. For 2011, I had one page per month, unless there was something special (like my sister's wedding), and one page of journalling for the whole year. In 2013, I made a 2-page pocket life spread for each month, you can see those in my gallery. In 2014, I went back to one page per month, but I included the journalling on each page. In the end, I have a pretty neat book with year after year in it.

My other layouts just go randomly into a different album, since none of that is scrapped chroniologically.

How are we almost at the end of the month already??? How are your layouts coming along? Any changes you plan on making for February?

For January I used the SG Club each week, but I got bored with that pretty quick, so that is one thing I will be changing up. I think using the same template style, font, calendar and journal card will add enough similarity to each week's layout to give the overall project a cohesive look.

I've been working on my layout. I chose a wintery collection for this month, although, it's not wintery here right now! (Not complaining!!) I thought about using the club each month...but might stick to "seasons"...OH who knows....

I had some thoughts today of things to be sure to include each month. One thing I thought would be "entertaining" is to document the color of the bands on my braces. *Sadly* the Broncos orange and blue is coming off tomorrow...maybe red for Valentine's Day? In the course of thinking about that, I decided it would be nice to see the progress of the braces over the course of the year.
