margel
I'm so glad that you ask. My suggestion is Canning. Does anyone still do it anymore? I'm thinking the answer is yes because when I do see canning jars and supplies in the stores. Sometimes a ton of things and then sometimes very little - so someone is buying it. I used to can a lot when my children were young. Retirement came. Moved across the country. Never thought about it anymore until this past summer. I found a BBQ Sauce that my husband and I really love. Just can't seem to make it fast enough. So I bought some canning jars and started canning it. I wanted to try pickles and relish that I used to can years ago, but I cannot locate the recipes that I used. I'm sure that they are lost together somewhere. So, if there is enough interest I think tried and true canning recipes would be fun.
MariJ
I find myself constantly carrying food - snacks and lunch and even breakfast when I go out. It's often a container of fruit or nuts and dried fruit... Or, cheese. I'd like to see some "healthy" carry-out food! Maybe muffins that aren't dessert or healthy bars or something that can be made ahead -- even frozen and then easily carried when I go out. Other than that I know we've done soups, brunch and crock pots.... And, I like things that can be made ahead and then baked/cooked. OH! How about a "pot luck" month where you can just scrap your favorite recipe - whatever category it's in? (Or, maybe that's your "favorite" that we've done before? Sorry..) I'll keep thinking! Belle
I like meals that can be made up and frozen then put in the slow cooker when it is time to cook.
CRS
Since I'll be hitting the softball fields every weekend to watch tournaments, I like Marilyn's idea of healthy carry out. How about newly discovered recipes? I have a few of those we like. I'll keep thinking on it!
