Thursday Challenge - January 22

Did you know that your smartphone/tablet is a pocket-sized collection of scrapping inspiration? You can read the Scrap Girls’ newsletter in your email app, visit the SG Forum with your cell’s web browser, find scraplift ideas on Pinterest, check out all your friends’ layouts in the Gallery or on Facebook, and read scrapbooking/art/crafting e-magazines.

For today’s challenge, we will be using our smartphones for inspiration. More specifically, the background image on your phone. Is it a photo you took, or a stock image provided by your phone’s manufacturer? Either way, I hope it’s colorful! This photo will determine the color palette for your layout. Yes… this is a color challenge! On a Thursday. (Didn’t see that coming, did you? :giggle_bear: )

If your phone’s background image is a picture you took, you are welcome to use that on your layout as well, should you desire.

When you finish your layouts, post them to the Thursday Challenge Gallery and then share a link to your layout in the thread so we can see your colorful phone-photo-inspired layouts!

Love the challenge - don't know if I'll get to it, unless I can make it fit with a page for the heritage album that is this week's goal. I'm still trying to stick to it! The background image on my phone, iPad & Mac are the same - gentle wave & foam washing up on sand, so soft aqua and/or tan for the colors. Tan should work . . .

Sounds like a relaxing photo!

Ok, I don't have a smart phone, but I do have a photo ... I have not changed it out since we had to put Raven down, so this challenge layout is in memory of this sweet little aussie girl. Remembrance

my grandson, Ryan, was fixing up my phone ... yeah, and then put a selfie of him as the background - I smile every time I look at it. Gotta get him to show me how to get the pix off the phone and then I can use it as a ready camera!

Evie I just use my cord to connect to the computer. The power plug has a USB connection plugged into it.

^that's probably the easiest way.

You can also use a cloud-based service (Dropbox, Google photos, and whatever the Apple equivalent is) - you simply upload the photo to the app on the phone, then log in from your desktop and save to your HD/EHD.

Evelyn I'm sure your grandson can help you with it :)
