Hi everyone, I realize just how incredible late to the game I am but I have been following along for the last couple of days and would love to see if I can participate in a couple of the layouts. I have been out of scrapping for ages and this seemed like a fantastic way to get back into it!

I took a look at some of the layouts in the gallery for this month and wow am I impressed! The talent here is really impressive and inspiring.

Here is my layout for the first week's tasks:

Task 1: I picked February's Club kit Amour by Doris Castle (I absolutely love the versatility of this collection!)

Task 2: Three images chosen and I altered one to fade into the background

Task 3: Favorite paper chosen and used as the background

Task 4: Photo framed

Task 5: Journaling and date added

Task 6: Odd number of embellishments added and here is the final product. Baby Aidan

Now on to the second week!

Task 5: Journal added with two different fonts.

Layout for week 3 - Three kids

Task 1 - I chose a photo I took of my three kids when I was playing with my new camera. The lighting was poor and it is blurry and dark. I adjusting the contract and brightness, tried to soften the image a bit and cleaned up the background with a white brush.

Task 2 - Image added three times to a new layout.

Task 3 - Three papers used in the background.

Task 4 - Word Art added.

Task 5 - 5 clusters of three embellishments added.

Task 6 - Journalling added using two different sizes of font. Final layout is in the gallery!

I have also started the last layout.

Week four layout

Task 1 - I used 3 photo's and put them in one corner of a new layout.

Task 2 - I re-coloured a paper for my background.

Task 3 - Embellishments added.

Task 4 - Descriptive words scattered around.

Task 5 - Two styles added. I added a stroke around two of the photo's and embossed the leaves in my cluster.

Wow, I can't believe I actually got caught up in just a couple of days! Can't wait for tomorrow's task. Now I am off to the gallery to give some love.

Week 4 - Task 6: shadows and date added. Here is the layout Aidan Black and White

Thanks so much for the slow scrap (not so slow for me since I just started this week)! It was a great way to get inspired and get scrapping again (I haven't done much scrapping in a couple of years).

I'm off to the gallery to check out some more beautiful layouts!
