makib1218
I am just upgrading to PSE13 and I currently have dozens of actions and layer styles loaded into my current PSE11. What is the easiest way to transfer them over to PSE13? Some searches have advised copying the Photo Creations folder from PSE11 and pasting it into 13. I'd really prefer to not have to load each one manually - right now they all show up in the actions palette with the appropriate thumbnail images so they are easy to find.Any advice is welcome!thanks! SodScrap
HI Maureen! I don't have an answer for you...sorry!! I don't have PSE. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me can help you soon!
Barb Eugene
I upgraded from PSE 11 to 13 just before Christmas. I loaded each style and action one at a time. Yes, it took a while, but I discovered styles and actions I had forgotten I had!
jhbren
I was wondering about this too - just upgraded to PSE 13 - reluctantly - and found all the styles and actions I'd purchased were not loaded. However, today I found information in "Photoshop Elements - The Missing Manual." Haven't tried it yet, but it says to click the little 4-line square at upper right in the Effects panel, and choose "load styles" You have to find the downloaded file on the hard drive, and then click Load. I don't know if the "downloaded file" the the original I got from Scrap Girls (for me, on an EHD), or the file on the main hard drive that I originally installed; have to try it and find out. jhbren
OK - I tried it - and it worked! I used the original downloaded files from the EHD. But I clicked "open" from that file; clicking on the "load" button in the Effects panel did nothing. But open immediately showed the thumbnails of the styles in the collection. I tried one on a shape as a test, and it worked perfectly. I think I'll want to choose "small thumbnails", and it will take a while - a long while - to install all of them. But if I do a dozen or so each day, and load them in the order they're saved in the download file, it should be doable. Hope this helps!
