ladyscrapalot
I need some opinions, comments, advice, etc... About 3 years ago I statrted scrapping a powerpoint presentation using one of the presentation 1-2-3 kits. Unfortunately, I lost the original files (not photos) but do have a copy online at photobucket. In the time I started those I'd like to think my skill level has improved at least somewhat. My question is do I start over? I'm not sure the files at photobucket are the correct size for printing. I also more photos that I haven't scrapped yet. Also the photos have a new meaning to me. I'm not sure if I want to continue with the powerpoint presentation. I know one of the designers did a genealogy collection. Now that I know the truth about my past I want to start getting all this going and search more but I feel overwhelmed on where to start . My mother's father had lots of notes on his side but not on his wife's. I thought maybe get the photos organized and scrapped (and safe) I could go from there. Sorry to ramble on but I was feeling overwhelmed. If you took the time to read this. I thank you.....
lindarobin
With better skills you've acquired over time, I suspect you would be happier to re-scrap your old photos, especially since they have new meaning to you.
April Showers
I'd check to see if the ones you have stored are a printable size. If they are, I wouldn't re-do those pages unless you really don't like them. I find just doing a little chunk at a time works for me. I may not finish everything right away, but I'm making progress. ladyscrapalot
Thank you ladies! I think I will check the print size as I did put some effort into them. It's not that I don't like them I just think I could do better.
ValerieT
Like April, I wouldn't re-do them if they are the right size. You could always re-do them at a later date, if you feel you want to.
CRS
If they are the right size, I'd keep them. I consider scrapbooking a journey, and not only do you see your stories, but how far you've come as a scrapper. You could always go back later, but I'd keep moving forward now. Good Luck! Boatlady
I would press on and leave the ones you have done as they are...If at some point you find one or more that you really want to change then I would do those select ones. Good luck with your decision and we want to see your pages.
ladyscrapalot
You have all made good points. I haven't had a chance to see if they are printable yet. I think for now I will move forward and scrap ones I haven't done yet. I am currently trying to get all the info I have sorted, organized and go from there. My sister had sent me some of the original photos and only photo copies of others as she was going to try and get those more organized and write notes on the ones she could. I am going to see here at the end of June so I think she will just give me the all the originals even if she hasn't written any notes. I posted the 7 layouts that I have been questioning. They are here if any of you are interested. tfl As some of you know my story is an unusual and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it.
