Background Blenders

Is there a tutorial on how to use background blenders? I looked, but I couldn't find one. There isn't anything in the SG Handbook about them either. Brandy had one that came with her blenders. I managed to do a decent job following her instructions until she said to drag the 2nd background blender on top of all the layers, it just blacked out the photo. Maybe there was a step missing? I rearranged the layers and put the photo on the top and here is what I got:

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Carol, I saw your image..it's looking good! I think maybe what happened is that when you dragged the 2nd blender on top it clipped to the mask below. You might just need to unclip it. I don't use PSE, but in Photoshop I right click on the image in the layers palette I want to release and choose "Release clipping mask" or you can use the drop down while you have that layer selected. Once it is unclipped, you can proceed to clip your new paper/photo to the mask you dragged on top. I hope that makes sense!

Thanks Brandy. I think I figured it all out. I had the 2nd paper under the background blender when I clipped it. I started over and placed the paper over the background blender and then clipped it. It came out beautiful. This is what it looks like now, using the papers you used:
