SJDodd
Hi again - I recently purchased Brandy Murray's Daily Post template. I would like to create a layout using what looks like a "folded newspaper" but can't seem to figure out how to get that look based on the files that came. Any instructions or tips on how to pull this off are helpful. Using PSE 6 Thanks so much! Sandy
MariJ
Hi Sandy, can you tell us exactly what template you are trying to use from the set? I'm going to alert Brandy to check this thread and maybe she'll have an idea for you.
tinkerbell11
HI Sandy, Do you mean a layout like this? If so I would use the template called Daily Post front page in folder 1, select the psd file for it and add your photo to this page and edit the text. Then save that file and then use that saved layout to clip to the template called Newspaper folded psd also in folder 1.
tinkerbell11
I was unable to attach the photo I keep losing my connection GRRR...it is in folder one and named LO1 (a folded newspaper with a cup of coffee on it) I believe she used the two templates I mentioned above to create the folded paper. Brandy M
Yes that is correct Shannon.... you create the page first (articles, photos, headlines, etc), then Select ALL>Copy Merged> then go to the folded template and hit Paste. Clip it to the folded template by right clicking and selecting make clipping mask (or holding down control and press G)... then use the overlay blending mode it on the folded blank page. Let us know if this helps. We'll figure it out together.

SJDodd
Hi Here I am again! Can I clarify a few things, I'm a little confused, still. Shannon shared: "Then save that file and then use that saved layout to clip to the template called Newspaper folded psd also in folder 1." I don't see any PSD file in folder 1. Here's what I have: Two folders that each contain PNGs, no PSD files. In addition to the two folders, there are two PSD files: one called DailyPost_Front Page and the other called DailyPost_Front Page Extended. (There are some other PNG files with the photo layout samples.) I used the template Daily Post-Front Page.psd. I put my photos in, put some text in. But I don't know what to do from here to get the look that Brandy shows (with the coffee mug and glasses!) Thoughts? Thanks again, so much! Brandy M
There should be 2 folders in the InPrint Kit. Sounds like you have BMU_SSPaper_DailyPost_1, there should be a 2nd folder called BMU_SSPaper_DailyPost_2 . In that folder you will find the folded newspapers with PSDS and PNGS. Once you find that folder, go in and select the PSD file BMU_SSPaper_DailyPost_Newspaper_Folded. That is the one you will paste & clip your front page to the pink parts. Hope this helps! SJDodd
Well doesn't that make things easier!!! Turns out I did not have that second folder (File_2) - not sure if I didn't download it when I purchased it in July or what, but I bit the bullet and bought it again (since the download option was no longer available) and I am back in the game. I think I'll get it now! Thanks again for all your help!! Sandy

Sandy Hi Sandy, When something like that happens and you find you need to re-download, but the download has expired, contact Angie at hello@scrapgirls.com and let her know. She can probably send you a new download and save you some money.

MariJ
Sandy I would email Angie with the two order numbers. We all have mistakenly bought the same item twice and often Angie can give you credit towards a future purchase.
